Inside the historic Hotel Normandie on 6th Street in Koreatown, Le Comptoir hides an intimate 10-seat counter facing Chef Gary Menes' open induction kitchen.

Menes builds an extraordinary eight-course plant-forward sequence using produce harvested dawn-fresh from his own Long Beach urban farm: velouté of sweet summer corn, poached farm eggs with sourdough crumbs, and roasted baby root vegetables.

Conversational, warm, and personal; Menes prepares every single dish directly in front of guests, detailing the soil, morning fog, and harvest techniques of each vegetable.

Le Comptoir proves that vegetables can take center stage at the fine-dining table with unmatched soul and agricultural terroir.
